Mourning Day - Kali Trash (black horror) Roma around the world celebrate on August 2. This date is a tribute to those who died in the genocide during World War II. On that "gipsy night" on August 2 about 3,000 Roma, including children and the elderly, were killed in the gas chambers of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. It is estimated that between 600,000 and 1,500,000 Roma died during the Holocaust.
02. 08. 2021 at 12 o'clock on the territory of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" it was held a ceremony honouring the Roma - victims of Babyn Yar, namely the laying of flowers to the memorial sign "Romani Kibitka" (Waggon), together with representatives of Roma youth organizations of Ukraine, Hungary, Bulgaria, and representatives of public organizations and Kyivans. Those present observed a moment of silence in the memory of the innocent victims.
