The protagonist of the portrait was the younger sister of the artist's grandmother, Tetiana Marcus. The picture shows a young woman with a baby in her arms, a flame burst behind her. In the right baby's hand is a keychain - a Star of David. Oksana Molozhanova narrates: - About 70 years after her death, my grandmother's sister was awarded the Golden Star Order and our family learnt about this from the Internet. The painting "Jewish Madonna" is a tribute to my family memory and memory of World War II, which began 70 years ago with bombing and artillery shelling of cities and the killing of civilians, firstly the mass destruction of Jews, as it happened in Kyiv, in Babyn Yar ... It is most frightening for me if our children will not know and talk about that. "
