75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy.

75 years passed since massacre on 29-30 September 1941 in Babyn Yar in Kyiv.

During the Nazi occupation of Kyiv in 1941-1943 Babyn Yar was a place of mass executions of Jews and Roma,  Soviet prisoners of war, underground fighters, partisans, hostages, members of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, mentally ill and others.

Only for two days, 29 and 30 September 1941, Sonderkommando led by  Standartenfuhrer SS Paul Blobel involving the 45-th and 303-th battalions of German police shot there almost 34 thousand Jews.

Opening an exhibition.

September 28, 2016, at the Municipal Art Gallery of Desnianskyi district (Dreiser st., 6) the National Historical Memorial Preserve "Babyn Yar" together with Desnianskyi district state administration in the city of Kyiv presented the exhibition "Babyn Yar - our Remembrance, our Pain". The exhibition will run until 25 October. The exhibition presents the first-ever list of names of Ukrainian Righteous. The list of Righteous was collected and systematised by the scientific staff of the National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar".

September 27, 2016, in the premises of the Library named after V. Dubinin for children (Kyiv, O. Teliha st., 35) employees of the National Historical Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" read a thematic lecture on the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy. Scientific Secretary of the National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" Anna Linnik told the students of Specialized School named after O.Teliha №97 about the last way of Kievan Jews on September 29, 1941, the Nazi's crimes in the Babyn Yar ravine committed during the occupation of Kyiv in 1941-1943.

For initiative Historical Memorial Preserve "Babyn Yar", the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Kyiv City State Administration,  the monument "Gypsy Vardo" (Romani Wagon) was unveiled in sign to honouring the victims of the Genocide of Roma in 1941 - 1943.

 October 23, 2016, were carried out measures to establish justice, restoration of national honour and memory of Roma that were victims of Nazism.

Vice Prime Ministers of Ukraine paid a working visit to the National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar"
