September 22 2015, at 10:30 am a mourning rally was held at the National Historic-Memorial Reserve “Babyn Yar” near the memorial sign “Menorah”.
The meeting was opened by vice-president of the Jewish Council of Ukraine Semen Belman.
Also speeches were made by:
First Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine Igor Lihovy, Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich,
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Ukraine Eliav Belotserkovsky, Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Christof Weil,
the head of the Association of the Jewish organizations and communities in Ukraine (Vaad Ukraine) Joseph Zisels, president of the Jewish Council of Ukraine Alexander Suslensky, president of the Jewish Forum of Ukraine Arkady Monastyrsky, Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Alexander Duhovny, head of the Association of the Righteous of Babyn Yar Sophia Yarova, head of the Association of former prisoners of ghettos and Nazi concentration camps Boris Zabarko, director of National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" Boris Glazunov.
Memorial Prayer was read by Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich.
Participants laid flowers at the memorial sign "Menorah" and honored the memory of Babyn Yar victims by minute of silence.
