The memory of the shot children was honored in Babyn Yar

For the first time on the territory of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" near the monument to the children shot by the Nazis in 1941, a Christmas tree was decorated.

The employees of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" and the visitors commemorated and paid tribute to those who never became adults putting candies, fruits, toys around the Christmas tree according to folk tradition. Nazi regime did not give them such a chance.

The action, which was attended by more than 20 people, including children, was organized by employees of "Babyn Yar" Reserve Andriy Tkachuk, Volodymyr Kornelyuk, Mykhailo Gutor, and Natalia Gerasimova.

The importance of such events is not to forget about the victims of Nazism. It is necessary to remember the horrors of the Second World War in order to never repeat such terrible crimes in the history of mankind.
