April 11, 2014 on the International Day of Liberation of Nazi Concentration Camp Inmates at the premises of the Central City Library for Children named after Taras Shevchenko ( Victory Avenue , № 25 ) a Literary Evening dedicated to the Babyn Yar tragedy embodied in the poetical works of artists of war and postwar era and contemporary poets and the opening of the exhibition " Remembrance for the Future " held. These events was organized by Central City Library for children and the National Historic-Memorial Reserve " Babyn Yar."
The speakers were the Head of service department for pupils of grades 5-10 Central City Library for Children Engibaryan S.S., Director of the National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" Glazunov B.I., Senior Fellow of Reserve Gutor M.S., teacher of school № 178 Dovgykh S.P. The pupils of 8th grade read poems dedicated to the Babyn Yar tragedy.
The participants paid tribute to the victims with a minute of silence.
