April 11, 2014 at 13.30 at the auditorium of the Kiev school № 229 the literary and artistic event " The Displaying of Babyn Yar tragedy in the works of classics of Ukrainian poetry " was held by employees of National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" together with collective of Oleksandr Dovzhenko library and pupils of 8th grade of school number 229 .
The Director of the Olexander Dovzhenko Library Nina Kukurudza told the audience about the Nazi crimes against humanity are committed by the Nazis during the Second World War , particularly in the Buchenwald Concentration Camp. The International Day of Liberation of Nazi Concentration Camp Inmates was established by the UN decision to commemorate the uprising of the Buchenwald prisoners.
The senior researcher of the National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" Vasily Boychuk had read for schoolchildren a lecture on the origins of fascist ideology and the threat of totalitarian regimes in the world today .
