On April 11, 2016, at 11:00 on the territory of the National Historical-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" with the participation of the Head of Kyiv City State Administration Vitali Klitschko a ceremony of floral tribute took place on the occasion of the International Day of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps. Also, the ceremony participated by public organizations - former prisoners of fascist concentration camps, ghettos, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of labour collectives, servicemen, schoolchildren, employees of the Reserve.
Those present honored the memory with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the Memorial sign "Memory for the sake of Future", the Monument to Soviet citizens and prisoners of war soldiers and officers of the Soviet Army, shot by the German fascists in Babyn Yar, and a memorial sign to those who perished in former concentration camp "Syretsky".
