An hour of remembrance dedicated to honouring the memory of hundreds of thousands of Babyn Yar victims was held in the library named after A. Kostetskyi with ninth-graders of School No. 82.
Every year in September, the Ukrainian and world community celebrates the anniversary of the Babyn Yar, a symbol of the tragedy of the Holocaust and Nazi crimes on Ukrainian soil, of which millions of people became victims. We are experiencing almost the same thing now, having to defend our Ukraine and Ukrainians from the influx of racists who came to our land to destroy the Ukrainian people as a nation.
Along with the story of the eighty-year-old tragedy, Andrii Tkachuk, a scientist and deputy director for scientific work of the National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar", told about our current struggle against the Russian invaders.
The youth had the opportunity to get answers to questions, express their attitude and understanding of these events, and get acquainted with books about the tragedy of Babyn Yar.
