Exhibition devoted to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

January 26, 2015 at 12.00 at the Exhibition Hall of the Memorial Complex "National Museum of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" was opened the exhibition "Concentration camp Auschwitz - Ukrainian dimension. The research documents evidence" devoted to the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz - Birkenau and the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The presentation was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Affairs – the Minister of Culture of Ukraine Victor Kirilenko; the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine I. Likhovy; the Head of the Committee of the Parliament of Ukraine on Culture and Spirituality M. Knyazhytsky; the Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine E. Byelotserkovski; the First Secretary of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine G. Giladi; the Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, attaché for Education and Science A. Kuzma; director of the Polish Institute in Kyiv, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Poland in Ukraine E. Figel; Director of the Institute of History of Ukraine, NAS of Ukraine, Academician NAS of Ukraine Viktor Smolii; Chairman of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory V. Vyatrovych, employees of the National historical and cultural reserve "Babyn Yar" and representatives of academic institutions, archival institutions, museums of Ukraine, veterans' organizations, creative unions.
There were nearly 300 exhibits on the exhibition. These include personal documents of liberation of Auschwitz members, prisoners of war, members of the Resistance, Ostarbeiteren, Jews, former juvenile prisoners, which were brought up in an orphanage number 13 , town Kyiv after the liberation
The exhibition organizers aimed worthy perpetuating of the memory of Holocaust victims and the Nazi concentration camps, opposition to racial and national intolerance, consolidation of society in the pursuit of peace and harmony.
