On December 19, 2013 a Day of Prayer to Saint Mykolay in the Memory of those innocent children who were shot during the the Nazi’s occupaion of Ukraine (1941-1944) was on the territory of the National Historical Memorial Reserve “Babyn Yar” .
Participating in the event were representative of the Church of Our Lady the Joy to All the Afflicted protopriest father Serhiy; representative of School No. 97 named after Olena Teliha, and employees of the National Historical Memorial Reserve “Babyn Yar”. Those present honoured the memory of the children murdered at Babyn Yar with a minute of silence and the placing of flowers at the children's monument.
