On May 23, in two renovated rooms of the building of the former Jewish cemetery (Melnikova st., № 44) in Kyiv opened an exhibition "History and Culture of Jews in Ukraine".
The organisers of the exhibition are the National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" and the Jewish Forum of Ukraine.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by students of the Boris Grinchenko University of Kyiv, headed by the head of the department, doctor of historical sciences, professor Felix Levitas.
Director General of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar", Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Ivanovich Glazunov held the opening of the exhibition and a brief excursion.
Exhibition stands reflect the life of Jews on the territory of Ukraine from the beginning of the settlement to the present. Particular place is occupied by stands telling about the Holocaust.
The exhibition will be open until June 30, the entrance is free.
