On November 13, 2021, a group of employees of the Central Archives of Sweden visited the Babin Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve. For the guests, the excursion was organized. Iryna Myzak, head of the international relations department, and Mykhailo Gutor, head of the archives department, told visitors about the tragic events in Babyn Yar during the Nazi occupation of Kyiv. Foreign guests visited the place where the Nazis shot the Jews of Kyiv on September 29-30, 1941, viewed the monuments to the victims of the Nazi crime, which are located on the territory of the Reserve, as well as the office building of the former Jewish cemetery on Ilyenko, 44 St, where will be located the Memorial Museum in memory of the victims of Babyn Yar.
Visitors, according to ancient Jewish tradition, honoured the victims by laying symbolic stones they brought from Sweden to the Menorah Memorial.
