Witold Pilecki, aliases: Witold, Druh, Roman Jezierski, Tomasz Serafiński is a Pole, Captain of the Polish Army, a soldier of the Polish underground subordinate to the Polish government in exile, establisher of the resistance movement in the Auschwitz concentration camp. He was sentenced to death by the Polish communist authorities. The death sentence was executed on May 25, 1948, in a prison at Rakovetska Street, 37 in Warsaw. The executor was Staff Sergeant Smetansky.
"Mass Extermination of Jews in Occupied Poland" is a message from the Polish Republic to the League of Nations mainly based on reports from Witold Pilecki and his organization (December 10, 1942).
