September 24, 2019, a memorial plaque to Kateryna Sikorska was placed in the town of Pidhaytsy, Ternopil region.
During World War II, she gave her life heroically, rescuing Jews - two Kresel's children and Moishe Clare. The event was initiated by Catherine Sikorska's granddaughter - Irina Korpan, founder of the Native Language program in Canada, a journalist, producer of several documentaries about prominent Ukrainians. She shared with her memories of the difficult life of her family.
Kateryna Sikorska's relatives, city council representatives, schoolchildren, priests, residents and visitors of the city were present at the event.
