On January, 9, 2018, the National Historical Memorial Reserve “Babyn Yar” was visited by president of the International Society for Human Rights, chairman of the Theological Commission of the World Evangelical Alliance and teacher at the Academy of Foreign Affairs of the Foreign Office in Berlin, director of the International Institute of Islamic Studies (IIIS) of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA).
After the excursion, the Reserve staff together with the guests held a Round Table discussing the prospects for the development of the Preserve, the creation of a Memorial Museum in memory of victims of Babyn Yar, the crimes of totalitarian regimes against humanity, the need to adhere to the rule of law and Human Rights in order to protect future generations from the tragedies that mankind endured in the twentieth century
