Thanks to her, the inhabitants of Pidhaytsi had the opportunity to return in times of a terrible past during the brutal extermination of Jews by Nazis on the territory of Pidhaytsi region during the Second World War, revising the documentary film of the memoirs of eyewitnesses of that time. The main figure of the film was Katerina Sikorska, who heroically gave her life, saving two Jewish children.
