The Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve invites you to join a series of events dedicated to the 84th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy. These commemorations unite us in a shared act of remembrance for the victims of Nazi crimes. The program is organized in cooperation with the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience, and civic leaders.

Sunday, September 28
12:00 – 13:20 — March of Memory of the Babyn Yar Tragedy, following the route from the “Kyivska Rus” cinema to the Menorah monument at the Babyn Yar Reserve. Organized by civic leaders Yevhen Horodetskyi and Dmytro Yurinov.

13:30 – 15:00 — Opening of the exhibition “State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda.” Organized by the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve in partnership with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (Washington, D.C.). Venue: “Living Memory” Exhibition Center, 46A Yurii Illienko Street.

18:00 – 19:30 — Memorial Piano Concert by Yevhen Gromov. Organized by the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve. Venue: “Living Memory” Exhibition Center, 46A Yurii Illienko Street.

Monday, September 29
18:30 – 19:00 — Interfaith Memorial Prayer Service. Organized by the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve, the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, and the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience. Venue: “Living Memory” Exhibition Center, 46A Yurii Illienko Street.

19:00 – 21:30 — Film screening and discussion of Serhiy Bukovsky’s film “Spell Your Name.” Organized by the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve. Venue: “Living Memory” Exhibition Center, 46A Yurii Illienko Street.
